Serbia to Have New 300 Kilometers of Sewer Infrastructure by End-September – Four Waste Water Treatment Facilities by Year-End
– By the end of September, around 300 kilometers of sewer infrastructure will be completed in the territory of the whole state, and, by the end of the year, we plan to commission four waste water treatment facilities – added Momirovic, as announced by the website of the ministry.
He also said that, up till then, 10 kilometers of sewer had been built in the territory of the municipality of Lajkovac, that the works were in the very final stage and that paving with asphalt was being prepared.
Within the “Clean Serbia” project, in the municipality of Lajkovac, 33 kilometers of a sewer network will be built, as well as two facilities for the processing of waste waters, covering 10,100 residents. The value of the investment in the construction of utility infrastructure in the municipality of Lajkovac is EUR 15.3 million. The contractor is the Chinese company China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC).
