Section from Ostruznica to Ibar Main Road on Belgrade Bypass Route Planned to be Completed by April 2021
According to the government’s website, representatives of the contractors, companies PowerChina and Azvirt, have promised the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic, that the works will be brought to a close even before the agreed deadline.
– The tempo of the works on the bypass route around Belgrade depended on the solving of the issue of the illegal settlement Vijadukt, and representatives of the most important institutions that protect the citizens’ rights were included in the negotiations from the beginning – the government says.
According to Momirovic, the problem of moving 74 families, which had lasted for decades, was solved after two months of negotiations.
He said that compensations for the houses that are to be demolished for the purpose of the construction of the bypass route had been paid to the citizens of the Vijadukt settlement, allowing them to buy new houses.
