Open Invitation for Banks and Leasing Houses to Take Part in Program of Support to SMEs

The Ministry of Economy has opened a public invitation to commercial banks and leasing companies to take part in the realization of the Program of Support to Small and Medium Enterprises for the Procurement of Equipment in 2021.

The ministry is providing non-refundable funds to micro, small and medium enterprises, entrepreneurs and cooperatives for the procurement of production equipment/building mechanization/ machines and equipment for upgrading energy efficiency and the ecological aspects of the production to the end of facilitating the financing of the procurement of equipment and boosting their competitiveness.

The grants will be provided along with a credit approved by the partner bank or banks or financial leasing from the leasing company or companies selected based on this invitation.

The total funds, set aside under the Law on the Budget of the Republic of Serbia for 2021, for the realization of this program, amount to RSD 1,550,000,000. Business entities can get grants of up to 25% of the net procurement value of the production equipment. A grant cannot be lower than RSD 500,000 or higher than RSD 5,000,000. An applicant must provide a minimum of 5% of the total net procurement value of the equipment, whereas the rest is provided from the credit of a commercial bank or financial leasing from a leasing company.

All interested commercial banks and leasing companies that meet the conditions for operations in the territory of Serbia, as defined by law, are eligible.

Application is open until February 19, 2021.
