The “Education to Employment” (E2E) project, an eight-year partnership project of two governments, the Swiss and the Serbian, designed to create the conditions for a quicker employment of the young, has opened a new invitation for employers, “Employees to fit your business”.

Within this public invitation, E2E provides financial and technical assistance to employers from the target locations through organization of work-based learning opportunities for young job-seekers. Said program will supports companies in Serbia developing and implementing modern work-based training for young job-seekers with the aim of facilitating the recruitment, qualification and selection of new staff. E2E has set aside RSD 50 million for this invitation.

– To the end of improving the position of youth on the Serbian labor market through modernization of youth employment policies and the development of young skilled labor demanded by the private sector, the E2E project will carry out the work-based training program in the districts of Raška, Rasina, Pirot, Nišava, Pomoravlje, Zaječar, Mačva, Šumadija and Moravica. Depending on the available funds, training conditions and other specific conditions, applications from other territories may be taken into consideration – the press release says.

Interested employers are invited to fill and submit an Application Form using the online-based fund management software SmartME or by contacting directly one of the brokers for assistance in Kragujevac, Kruševac, Novi Pazar, Pirot and Knjaževac using the contact details on the project's web page.

This call for employers shall be open for applications until the exhaustion of available funds, but not later than March 31, 2021. The guidelines for applicants and the application forms can be downloaded from the web page of the E2E project.

The aim of the project is to increase the employability and the employment of the young and, indirectly, to help make the economic development of Serbia sustainable and inclusive. The idea of E2E is to incite, support and offer a model of permanent cooperation between local self-governments, schools, organizations, the civil society and business entities, so that the young would get an opportunity to learn the skills valued in the labor market and therefore find jobs more easily.

This is the third invitation published within the E2E project, supported by Switzerland, whose total value is EUR 14.3 million.
