Most subsidies in 2019 meant for agriculture – At least RSD 36.2 billion for agrarian sector

Most subsidies in 2019 are planned for the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management in the amount of no less than RSD 36.2 billion, as per the Budget Preparation Guidelines published by the Ministry of Finance.

– In planning subsidy funds and their purposes, all regulations regarding state aid need to be taken into consideration – says the document.

When it comes to subsidies for the economy, the amount of RSD 17.59 billion is planned.

Within the funds meant for the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, subsidies for the rail and intermodal transport amount to RSD 14.65 billion.

According to the projects, the PE Roads of Serbia could get RSD 6.3 billion, of which RSD 0.5 billion would be put into the state's participation in the Road Rehabilitation and Safety Project, whereas the PE Corridors of Serbia could get RSD 3.1 billion.

RSD 0.9 billion should be set aside for the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, for participating in the credit of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (competitiveness and employment project), which will be realized through the Innovation Fund.

Subsidies for JP PEU Resavica should be planned as part of the budget for the Ministry of Mining and Energy.

Subsidies meant for socially vulnerable consumers of energy are projected at no less than RSD 1.32 billion.

According to these plans, the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications could get RSD 0.5 billion, to be put into travel vouchers and for an improvement of the utilization of travel destinations in Serbia.

Subsidies of RSD 4 billion are meant for the Ministry of Culture and Information for the funding of public services (RTS and RTV).

When it comes to the repayment of interests and the accompanying debts, the expenditures projected for 2019 amount to RSD 103.1 billion.
