Ventilation, Cooling and Heating of Halls – Now Fully Decentralized
Hoval is subdividing – literally: “When we are talking about decentralized systems, we no longer mean just RoofVent® and TopVent®, but also decentralized heat pumps”, says Georg Eberharter, Product Manager of Hoval ventilation systems. The result is a solution that saves space.
Saving space means saving money. When they are combined into a fully decentralized solutions, systems of cold and hot water become unnecessary. This means that equipment rooms no longer need to be included in the plans of new halls. Commerce or industry get precious additional space.
No more gaps and connections through walls
Air canals, heating pipes and the substantially more expensive cold-water pipes are no longer there. This reduces design costs, and installers no longer need to fit pipes through the walls and concrete structures. The full installation is fitted on the roof. The expensive anti-diffusion heat insulation for cold-water pipes is no longer necessary. The interior of the hall looks neater and is fully usable.
Lower overall costs
Lower overall costs result in lower operating costs: thanks to the optimal air distribution, the decentralized system, which consists of a RoofVent® device and a TopVent® device and their heat pumps have minimal losses in air inflow and outflow pressure drops, as well as minimal losses of heat compared to standard centralized systems. On its part, the air/air heat pump provides high efficiency with standard temperature demands. The product manager of Hoval ventilation system is convinced that the efficiency exceeds that of boilers. The data from several test installations in Austria show that the facilities which use a fully decentralized system have reduced their operating costs by 36% compared to the facilities which use a centralized gas boiler room.
What’s more, the heat pump uses renewable energy. CO2 emissions are reduced to a minimum – especially compared to centralized heating solutions which use fossil fuels. On top of that, there is no need for import and consumption of fossil fuels.
On the international level, the Hoval brand is one of the leading companies for heating and air conditioning solutions for tall rooms. With over 70 years of experience and a team culture in a family atmosphere, Hoval keeps surpassing expectations with its extraordinary solutions and technically superior development. This leading role obliges the company to have a responsible approach to energy and the living environment, through an intelligent combinations of various heating technologies and individual solutions of the air conditioning of rooms. Furthermore, personal consulting and a thorough user service are typical of the Hoval world.
With around 1,900 employees at 17 companies worldwide, Hoval considers itself not a group, but a large family which thinks and acts globally. Hoval heating and air conditioning systems are today exported to over 50 countries.
