Solution for 375 workers at Agroziv underway - Social program for staff, company to go bankrupt
After nearly two years of complete uncertainty, 375 employees at Agroziv from Zitiste can apply for social program. This will finally be the chance to solve their employment status.
- Talks which lasted for several months the Serbian government, line ministries and trade unions finally paid off. We were on the edge of running out of anything, and now we get the most favorable social program that treats the state-owned enterprises - Predrag Amizić, GM at Agroziv who shares the fate of workers for the entire period says.
- Out of three options, I think for the employees the most suitable one is the one that provides payment of 200 EUR per year of service, and for the younger workers it implies payment of six average salaries. In addition, everyone will have connected length of service. Apart from 375 employees who have been nearly for two years on the street, workers at Agroziv who left the company in the meantime will be able to connect length of service for a period while they were engaged – Amizic says.
After individual personal statement, which will last until April 10, documents will be delivered to the Ministry of Labor. It will depend on its professional services depends when specific implementation of the program will be carried out. Amizic hopes everything will be resolved quickly and that after almost two years of real torture workers will get their rights.
